Bayonet Type Expulsion Fuses for Distribution Transformers

ERMCO manufactures a complete product range of bayonet fuses for use in oil filled distribution transformers. Products include the bayonet fuse cartridge and the isolation link. Two types of fuse cartridge elements are available; a FAULT SENSING fuse (catalog numbers 9F54MFC---) and a LOAD SENSING fuse (catalog numbers 9F54LFC---). The fault sensing fuse is current sensitive and will isolate the transformer from the system in case of a fault. The load sensing fuse is sensitive to both current and oil temperature and will protect against overloads as well as faults. The isolation link is used in series with the bayonet expulsion fuse to provide extra protection during re-fusing operations. The isolation link will melt during transformer failure to help prevent refusing the bayonet directly into a fault. Back to Components |
