ECI manufactures a de-energized tap changer for use in oil filled distribution transformers. The tap changer is rated for 50 amp cuntinuous duty with and 150 kV.

The switch is a spring loaded rolling contact for positive electrical connection. This mechanism is housed in a heavy duty thermal set material for stability even at high manufacturing and operating temperatures.

The tap changer switch cap is removed and reversed to make the cap an operating wrench. The cap-wrench is equipped with a key, preventing removal until the switching operation is complete. An indicating arm kit with locking plate and screw is available as an alternate to the cap-wrench.

  • Axial tab type terminals with holes for 1/4" diameter bolts
  • Radial, #12-#10 crimp terminals
