Debbie Hurt is the Chief of Staff at ERMCO-ECI, a position she has held since June 2024. With more than 13 years of experience at the company, Hurt plays a critical role in shaping strategic direction, optimizing operations, and leading cross-functional teams. She is a key driver behind the organization\u2019s ongoing efforts to improve operational efficiency, enhance communication, and streamline processes across all departments.


Before stepping into her current role, Hurt served as the Director of Integration Management at ERMCO-ECI, where she led the successful execution of complex integration projects. This included overseeing the implementation of new systems, processes, and technologies that increased operational efficiency and aligned with the company\u2019s long-term strategic goals. Her work in this capacity has had a lasting impact, creating a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization. She also worked closely with senior leadership to manage and facilitate key organizational changes, ensuring alignment and smooth transitions.


From 2012 to 2021, Hurt was the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager at ERMCO and was responsible for developing and enforcing comprehensive health, safety, and environmental protocols. Under her leadership, ERMCO maintained a strong safety record and met all regulatory requirements while driving initiatives to proactively address potential risks. Her efforts helped cultivate a safety-first culture across the organization, focusing on employee well-being, operational compliance, and environmental responsibility. She also played a key role in the training and development of employees, ensuring that safety standards were integrated into everyday operations.


Hurt has held senior-level EHS management roles throughout her career at leading companies such as Armstrong Hardwood Flooring Company, Sara Lee, PolyOne, Quebecor, and Briggs & Stratton. In these roles, she spearheaded various initiatives to reduce environmental impact, improve safety measures, and drive regulatory compliance across multiple facilities. Her diverse experience in EHS has given her a comprehensive understanding of industry regulations, environmental stewardship, and the importance of fostering a culture of safety and accountability.


Hurt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety and minor in Environmental Science from Murray State University. Her career is marked by a deep commitment to excellence, a strong track record of driving organizational success, and a passion for building high-performing teams.
